Impostor

The downpour had blurred out the scent of his quarry until it was nothing more than part of the vague crisscrossing ambiance that was the city's aura.

Altair growled and bared his teeth in frustration. He hadn't even seen the impostor clearly, only a vague silhouette that had bolted quickly into the storm.

But next time...it couldn't hide forever, the wolf thought, snarling to himself. There was nothing in this city that stayed hidden long from him...next time Altair would be ready, and he would track it down.

"And when I do I will kill you," he vowed.

Color practice! The trick here was making Altair here the same color as the background so he kind of 'melts' out of it.

As to who or what Altair's bent on murdering? Well, I wouldn't want to be it!
